Traditional homes of the Baluch are dome shaped using tree barks and covered with leaves of the date tree. As simple and beautiful as these homes are, there is a great down side, with humidity after rains, mold, fungal, bacterial and viral growth in between the leaves are great and very dangerous for the health of the families. In addition cockroaches, lizards and scorpions make their home there.
Children are especially at risk of being bitten by scorpions or snakes and this has lead to many unfortunate fatalities.
Health risks for respiratory issues are also high among families, especially the elderly.

Having a home is one of the basic necessities for survival. Their homes had no sanitary facilities such as showers or toilets. Therefore building a simple home for families that has the basic structure to support them is a priority.
Each home that is one room for living and sleeping and approximately 5×6 meters. The kitchen is separate and built outside using cleaned leaves of the date tree, similar to their traditional homes. About 50 days are needed to complete one.
So far 7 homes have been built, giving priority to families with elderly and those with handicapped children.
More homes are planned. Each family is quite large with 5-6 children for each couple along with their parents.
