How it all started…

The founder of this movement to support the children and families in Baluchistan is Mr Vahid Karimpoor. In 2017 when there was a severe earthquake in  Kermanshah, he went to help the people in the devastation they were facing, being stuck under piles of debris. He decided after this that whenever there would be any emergency, he wanted to be involved to help those suffering.  Soon after, several floods happened back to back in Aghala, Khoramabad, Khoosestan and he again went to offer help. He would share photos of the devastation on social media and began receiving support from many compassionate people. One of the many floods was in Baluchistan. Until this time, he had never visited this area, it being about 28 hours by car from the capital Tehran. He realized that these villagers did not even have a shower, toilet or clean water.

It is from this point on that he dedicated his time to help these villagers as much as he could.  From then on he has been going to the village for about 7-10 days every month, bringing supplies, helping to build homes, a classroom, clean water supply, shower, toilet and provide services to a health care facilities for those with severe health issues.

The distance from Tehran each way takes about 28 hours (approximately 2300 km). Finding gasoline on the way is also a challenge and sometimes the wait just to fill the tank can take 7 hours of waiting. The drive is rough and because of this Mr Karmipoor often has to do it alone.

The villages don’t have many of the amenities and comforts that many are used to and spending even 1 week there is difficult for most people.

Little by little the villages are receiving the attention they need to have some basic necessities to make their life a bit easier. If you would like to support in achieving this, please contact trough WhatsApp on our Contact page. Thank you.
